Who would have thought it would be so much hard work? --- Surely not us... (for your information in case you didn't know - SHOE will be participating in the Gay Games with a small soccerteam) We thought that millions of women would want to register on our team and then we would have had to select them by their SHOE-Size... of course we would have only chosen women with the biggest feet. Like this we could have filled up our goal with their sneakers to prevent the other team from scorring. But life took a different path... Heterowoman with child again got priority in getting summerholidays, so many woman who wanted to come had to cancel. So our team melted down to 6 woman... Awful, isn't it? That is why we will be put together with other incomplete soccerteams from different countries which is pretty cool. But - what if the other teammates storm the field in their proper soccer shoes and we stand there in our clodhoppers (well... Sunci will probably whizz around the field in her Doc's so that nobody can stand on her feet, eh?) What have we done??? Also we've only just noticed that the field is actually totally huuuuuuuge!! And one game lasts normally for 90 minutes!! uh-ohhh... that means we have to run a lot... with this hot weather... You know, being physically active normally bowls down to me getting in the car in the morning - but... let's leave it at that... What the hell. We sure will have a whale of a time in Amsterdam... and hey... WE ARE LOOKING FOR CHEERLEADERS!! We are grateful for any kind of support <grin> fab & sunci
